Director of Undergraduate Studies
Professor Donatello Materassi is the current Director of Undergraduate Studies (also known as DUGS) in the ECE Department. The DUGS has a number of responsibilities related to advising students including the evaluation of student petitions regarding degree requirements, APAS issues, transfer courses, and ECE policy. All DUGS decisions must align with established policies of the ECE Department, CSE, and the University. Our department is also bound by the regulations of ABET, our accrediting agency.
The DUGS is available to meet with students when needed or suggested by the ECE Academic Advisor. Some students may never need to work with the DUGS, while others may require greater interaction.
