Career Development Network
Every year CDN receives a handful of requests from central units on campus asking for career services representatives to help with facilitating workshops or other career programming. These are usually offices that are not affiliated with an academic college (e.g. PES, Student-Parent Help Center), and therefore do not have a direct connection to a career services unit to send these requests to.
To meet this need and support our campus community, the CDN Board creates and maintains a Volunteer Database of staff interested in facilitating these unique opportunities!
We aim to streamline the process for campus partners while respecting your time and professional boundaries. When a request comes in, the CDN Board will reach out to the volunteer pool first. The hope is that this will eliminate some of the traffic on the CDN listserv for these requests, and also make it easier for campus partners to be able to connect to volunteers.
This list is strictly internal and will only be accessible to the CDN Board.
We welcome all career services staff who are interested in serving students outside of their primary responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced staff looking to share expertise with students or graduate interns seeking to expand their facilitation skillset and gain additional experience for their resumes!
The CDN Executive Board maintains this database and will issue a fresh call for volunteers annually. Joining the database is not a commitment to every request. It simply indicates that you are open to being contacted when opportunities arise! If you would like to be included in the current pool of volunteers, please click the link below.
Note: By filling out this form, you are agreeing to be contacted by the CDN Board regarding facilitation and workshop requests from campus partners.
