Closing the Year, Carrying it Forward
Hi all,
As the academic year comes to a close, we find ourselves at a meaningful intersection of reflection and momentum. Across classrooms, labs, and communities, our students have not only met expectations but also expanded them. With graduation, we celebrate a cohort prepared not just with knowledge, but with the judgment, adaptability, and purpose required to shape what comes next.
This year has been defined by thoughtful progress and intentional innovation. From the continued growth of our EXPO and the ways it brings learning into public view to the expansion of the product management pathway and the launch of the AI minor, we are evolving the way we prepare students for a world that is changing in real time. These efforts reflect a shared commitment to applied, forward-looking education that meets both opportunity and responsibility.
At the same time, we have strengthened the foundations that support this work. The introduction of a new academic integrity policy ensures that, as tools and technologies advance, our values remain clear and our expectations aligned. Our continued progress on the UMCI degree program signals an important step in extending the reach of a UMSI education, creating new opportunities for learners and deepening our connection to communities beyond Ann Arbor.
Thank you for the role you have played this year. It has made a difference.
Best,
Cliff
