Fieldwork

Lake Junin Region, Peru

My dissertation is geographically focused on the Lake Junin Region of central Peru, high in the central Andes (>4500 meters). I was fortunate to conduct fieldwork in spring 2019 collecting surface water samples and lacustrine carbonates from 4 lake systems. Check out these photos from our field campaign!

Unfortunately, further fieldwork was postponed due to covid-19 concerns.

Camp Davis | Wyoming, USA

As a graduate student instructor (GSI) at the University of Michigan, I taught for two summers (2021, 2022) at the Camp Davis Field Station in western Wyoming. Earth 450, Ecosystem Science in the Rockie Mountains, is such a blast! Wyoming is a great place to teach students about surficial processes, mountain uplift, hydrology, and ecosystem succession!

I hope to teach more field classes in the future!
