My key findings are it is unique and amazing to see how usable UMSI’s websites were. The most surprising insights that I think should be communicated to stakeholders were how well and cooperative they are in performing the given tasks as their results in task accuracy turn out to be better than what I expected. Furthermore, it is interesting to communicate with them about how efficient they are in completing the tasks because they completed the task timings with a pretty solid timeframe. The significant insights were how easy it is to search for specific faculty or classes on UMSI’s websites and how easy it is to use.
I think some possible next steps in terms of further research would be doing further analysis in the preference metrics side where there are limited-choice questions and free-form comments that could be interesting to know deeper. I believe potential topics that I could dig deeper into with a survey are people who have used UMSI’s websites based on the insights from my usability test. From here, I could compare the one that I have right now with people who already familiar with it to understand better the usability of my school websites. Moreover, I could expand my analysis with some new metrics to receive more reliable data in conducting my usability testing.
