I have confirmed the assumptions of group challenges in scheduling and organization that I had going into these interviews. The common themes across all the interviews are both collaboration and communication technology tools. There are things that weren’t the same across all participants, so there is something we can learn about gender bias that they are facing. There are participants who feel more in the frustration side of gender bias or more from the dynamics site. It is interesting to see there is one participant who still use Facebook messenger as the most common collaboration technologies. There are a few participants who find it potentially impactful to fill out when2meet to schedule a meeting for group work. Of the total number of interviews conducted, I may have chosen a participant with computer science background and a participant who is not disclosing useful information to exclude from my full analysis. There are simply too many participants with similar computer science background and experience, so they do not provide a really useful information. There was nothing wrong with the interview data, but I was just prioritizing participants with the unique diverse set of background to analyze first like psychology and information science. I found a participant with psychology background to be most informative to include because she really can answer from different perspectives than the others, such as giving memes for encouraging and motivating each other in the group.
