Kristen Engels 1619Project Handout and Works Cited.docxIn this semester long research project, I listened to the 1619 Project podcast on the history of slavery in the United States and how it impacted modern America. I then specifically connected events in this history that have impacted the modern United States Education System. This includes a myriad of court cases extending from the Civil Rights Movement to today, and I expect we will continue to see so in the future. Overall, this project helped highlight the fluidity of the United States Education System in response to the cultural movement within society.
