Course Description: "Provides students with the opportunity to design and develop technology-based learning solutions for real-world instructional problems. Students will identify an instructional problem, collect data to assess relevant needs of an authentic population of learners and work collaboratively to create learning solutions for face-to-face, blended and/or online environments. Students will also become proficient in the operation of various pieces of hardware and software and develop skills for evaluating and integrating technology into the different learning environments." - Source

Project 1: Google Form
Project 1: Google Form
In this project I had to create Google Form surveys that could be used in my future classroom. This project is important because nearly all school districts utilize Google Suites, meaning knowing how to use all aspects of it (including Google Forms) is essential. Likewise, this project is also important because it provides a quick and effective way to get feedback from students. Upon completion of this project, I have a much greater understanding of how to create Forms with a variety of question types (constructed response or selected response). More importantly, I have learned how to compile information gathered from completed Forms, meaning I will be able to utilize the information to drive instruction. Two examples of Forms I have created are below:

In this project I created a model classroom website using Weebly. This website included a theme, contact forum, files, blog, and so on. This project was important because the world, and therefore education, is becoming increasingly digitalized. Therefore, having an online space for learning is essential. In this process, I have learned how to upload and convert files, create an active blog site, utilize contact forums, and more. Although this project was challenging, it has pushed my capabilities beyond my expectations and ultimately made me a more well-rounded educator. This is because I have learned how to create and maintain a website, which is something I will undoubtedly need to do in my future classroom.
Project 3: Digital Jeopardy
Project 3: Digital Jeopardy
In this project I created a digital "Jeopardy" game. This Jeopardy game included sound effects and smooth transitions between questions and the home page. Moreover, it was genetics themed; Categories included Mendel's work, meiosis, the cell cycle, mitosis, and genetics terms. This project was important because it was a way to captivate student attention (via the digital format) while reviewing standards based content. By completing this project, I now have an extensive understanding of the innerworkings of PowerPoint. This is crucial as it allows me to integrate this skillset in my future classroom. Unfortunately, due to limitations with Google Sites, I am unable to upload the PowerPoint for viewing without destroying the formatting.
