There are various facilitation experiences that I would like to highlight briefly for you, with more detailed pages linked from this site.
The Leadership Lab: I have served as a Peer Facilitator, Lead Peer Facilitator, and then Program Assistant for the Barger Leadership Institute (BLI) at the University of Michigan. The organization is fully focused on the personal and professional development for college students at Michigan, and the introduction to what the BLI has to offer is through ALA 175 (previously was ALA 170) course: "The Leadership Lab". This course is unique as it is for university students, facilitated by university students, specifically BLI Fellows or also know as Peer Facilitators. This six-week mini course leads student groups to develop projects based on an idea to an issue that they see on campus.
Teaching History: As a part of the 2019 Teacher Secondary Education cohort at Michigan, the three semester program include rotation site placements for the first two semesters: observing and engaging in classrooms at five different schools. The final semester consisted of full-time student teaching at an Ann Arbor Public Schools high school, leading classes covering U.S. History and Geography, Government, and Current History. Outcomes in student work and curriculum development can be found in the "Curriculum & Project Samples" tab.
Mindfulness Certification: Mindfulness is the consciousness and awareness of the present moment. This can apply to one's own thoughts, engagement with others, and with the environment. Upon deeply learning about mindfulness through the Mindful Leader Program with the Barger Leadership Institute, I extended my mindfulness journey by going through certification by Koru Mindfulness.
Presentations: I have created and facilitated various presentations, on behalf of several organizations, across a variety of topics including leadership, mindfulness, and my personal and professional experiences. These presentations range from presenting to peers to top executives in organizations.
