Student Success

Goal 1: Strategic Actions

  • Develop and implement digital resources and in-person instructional sessions that support various literacies, including information literacy, data literacy and visual literacy.
  • Expand reach and offerings of instructional opportunities – such as workshops, online tutorials and consultations – that support student acquisition of technical skills.
  • Collaborate with librarians from Montgomery College Libraries to scaffold information literacy instruction at both institutions.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and other programming to support the Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) and Career Experiences Opportunities (CEO) programs of the Center for Recruitment and Transfer Access.
  • Explore grant opportunities to develop programs and services to support students’ academic and professional success.
  • Launch a one-credit course developed by library staff for all incoming USG students.
  • Collaborate with librarians and library staff at institutions that have programs at USG to coordinate programs and services offered on both campuses.
