Hire an Engineering Librarian and an additional Library Services Specialist in Access Services to meet the demands due to higher student enrollment from new programs at USG.
Strive to obtain a diverse candidate pool when recruiting new hires and ensure fair conditions for all candidates throughout the process by following UMD’s Equity Charge for hiring.
Continuously seek to improve communication to foster effective and equitable ways of working.
Maintain a healthy climate that enables effective collaboration, while valuing individual work.
Develop activities with other USG departments to promote the understanding that diversity is a celebration of differences and identification of similarities.
