Multimedia
This work is a multimedia scrapbook, taking a lot of inspiration from the concept of junk journaling - including scraps, found items, and things that would otherwise discarded. The scrapbook was bound using bookbinding techniques involving thread. The first page is an "about me" including a photo of the artist. Next, there are two pages contrasting the feeling of being trapped in a cycle of homework and screen time with the feeling of spending time outside and enjoying nature. The final three pages are a sequence of junk journaling spreads including objects like beads, string, wrappers, magazine clippings, receipts, and stickers. A sense of depth is created by using heavy layering of multiple materials and images.
