The Think–Prompt–Reflect project began in April 2025 with Semester 2, 2024/2025 postgraduate students at Universiti Malaya. It introduced AI-based continuous assessment through various assignments such as podcasts, policy briefs, and movie review and critiques. Contrary to traditional assessments, these AI-integrated assignments necessitates students to use tools like ChatGPT and NotebookLM to enhance research, critical reflection, and ethical prompting. The project serves as a model for responsible AI integration in higher education.
As a UM-REEP 2025 Finalist, our team has demonstrated a shared commitment to transforming teaching and learning through innovation, leadership, and collaboration.
Since the project started, we have successfully engaged and trained over 200 postgraduate students on using AI for assessments critically, ethically and efficiently.
