Seorang anak Malaysia antara 17 saintis antarabangsa yang berjaya membangunkan kaedah baharu tampalan bahan bio, bagi merawat tisu jantung yang rosak akibat serangan jantung.
Dr Mohd Muzamir Mahat, 30 tahun, berkelulusan doktor falsafah jurusan sains bahan dan kejuruteraan bio bahan di London, terlibat dalam projek penyelidikan bahan itu sejak 3 tahun lalu.
A Malaysian student is among 17 international scientists who have successfully developed a patch that could one day be used to repair damage to the human heart.
Recently graduated with a PhD in Material Science and Bio Material Engineering from Imperial College in London, 30-year-old Dr Mohd Muzamir Mahat, has been involved in the project since 2013.
The bio material patch can monitor and help restore the heart rhythm after a serious attack.
The recent research findings will provide more scope and open up opportunities for scientists to develop the future for heart medicine.
