Listening and video activities: Do not try to understand every word. Read the questions first and focus on understanding enough to be able to answer the questions.

You can do the homework anytime you'd like. You don't have to wait until the morning it is due. For example, if something is due at 9 am on Wednesday, you can do it at 10 am on Tuesday or at 11 pm on Tuesday (or anytime before 9 am on Wednesday).

Homework is due before class because during class we build on what you learned by reading the book and doing the homework.
If you are not able to complete the activity after listening/watching only once, listen or watch again. It is normal to listen/watch 2-3 times for each audio or video activity.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE the Canvas App to complete online homework, tests or quizzes in Canvas. The app does not support all question types. INSTEAD, use the internet browser on your phone/tablet and log into canvas.uic.edu with your UIC Net ID and password.Â
