Tips and Strategies

• Implement strategies and suggestions made by an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist

• Provide choice in learning activities

• Use assistive devices

• Chunk work into smaller parts

• Provide a large or slanted work surface if applicable

• Encourage your child to show their learning in multiple ways eg. oral recording, scribe, slide show, etc.

• Provide positive encouragement and praise for small steps as well as big accomplishments.
