Rabbits

Rabbits are in the Leporid family.

The primary use of rabbits in the United States is for meat production. Rabbits are also raised for their wool (Angoras), for scientific research, and as pets. Approximately 6 to 8 million rabbits are raised annually for meat, wool, science, and as pets.
