It's more popular than you think, approximately 30.5% of US households have at least one member somehow involved in the horse industry (hobbyist or professional). Florida is home to Ocala, dubbed the "Horse Capitol of the World" for its number of horses per square mile and involvement in the horse industry. The equine industry contributes to nearly $7 billion to the Florida economy.
