Pamantasan ng Silangan
The University of the East (Filipino: Pamantasan ng Silangan), also known as UE, is a private university located in Manila, Philippines. Founded in 1946, business tycoon Lucio Tan acquired the university in 1990. UE was once labeled as the "largest university in Asia" when its enrollment in the past reached over 65,000 students.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted UE autonomous status and recognized 2 of its programs as Center of Excellence and 1 program as Center of Development. UE offers degree programs from basic education to graduate studies. UE has two other campuses, one in Caloocan, and its medical school, the UE Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center located in Aurora Blvd., Dona Imelda, Quezon City.

The UE Logo
The UE logo is the foundation of the school's Identity. UE leaders chose color Red a fighting color that connotes bravery, and white as its combination colors for the UAAP.
UE Red Warriors
refer to the collegiate men's varsity teams of the University of the East. Th1e women's collegiate varsity teams are called the UE Lady Warriors. The Athletic director of the University of the East is Rodrigo M. Roque.

The Lualhati Statue
"The Luwalhati Statue" Ophelia Salas, also known as Lualhati, is a very famous person/statue in University of the East. Carved by our National Artist, Guillermo Tolentino, it became the symbol of UE.

Tan Yan Kee Academic Building
The Tan Yan Kee Academic Building, inaugurated in 2003, houses the Caloocan Campus Colleges of Business Administration, Arts and Sciences, and Fine Arts. Named after late Tan Yan Kee, it features 54 air-conditioned classrooms, multimedia rooms, computer laboratories, a parking area, Benjamin G. Chua Jr. Library, and more.
Dr. Lucio C. Tan Building
The Dr. Lucio C. Tan Building, inaugurated in 2012, houses UE Caloocan's Elementary and High School Department, featuring modern classrooms, laboratories, a 500-seat multipurpose hall, and a spacious library with multimedia facilities.
Engineering Building
The Engineering Building, inaugurated in 1980, houses over 50 lecture rooms, 24 laboratories, tool rooms, stock room, two machine shops, and two multipurpose halls, accommodating students of the College of Arts and Sciences and Business Administration.
HRM Mock Hotel
Among the university's most recent infrastructure milestones is the HRM Building. It has two main parts: the mock hotel and the kitchen. The hotel is composed of reception area, travel area, dining area, suite, regular room (guest room), housekeeping room, and the skills laboratory. P6.3 million is the allotted budget for the building itself while the equipment for the kitchen costs about P8 million.
Library and research
Benjamin C. Chua Jr. Library - On the Caloocan campus on the sixth floor of the Tan Yan Kee Academic Building.
Engineering Library Caloocan - The Engineering Library, located on the third floor of the Engineering Building, houses over 18,000 volumes of books supporting research and instruction in civil, computer, mechanical, electronics, communications, and electrical engineering programs.
LCT Library - The Elementary and High School Library, located on the fifth floor of the Dr. Lucio C. Tan Building, is equipped with a multimedia facility.
Basic Education Department
The UE Caloocan Basic Education Department provides a standard K-12 curriculum consisting of six years of primary education, four years of Junior High School, and two years of Senior High School.
Admissions Office
The Admissions Office manages admission policies, processes credentials, and selects students for scholarships and grants through an online system.
