Trigonometry comes from the Greek words trigonon which means triangle, and metron which means measure. This branch of mathematics deals with the relationship between the sides and angles of a triangle. Trigonometry provides a powerful set of tools that will help us to understand and solve problems related to angles, distances, and real-life phenomena such as identifying the direction of typhoon, reading maps, calculating slopes, estimating dimensions, in telecommunications and power sources, and etc.
