Using research in educational practice is a global issue. UK scholars and educators Chris Brown and Jane Flood have spent years working with educators to collaboratively engage with evidence to improve teaching practice. In this workshop, they share strategies that help teachers to use research-informed theories of change to drive instructional change and support student learning.
Professor Chris Brown is a Professor in Education at Durham University's School of Education in England and a Deputy Executive Dean for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health. Prior to his work at Durham University, Professor Brown was a Professor of Education at the University of Portsmouth.
Ms. Jane Flood is the Head of Learning at Oaks CE Learning Federation at Netley Marsh School in Southampton, England. Ms. Flood is also a PhD student at Durham University in the School of Education, supervised by Professor Chris Brown.
