Now what? No matter whether you've attended one workshop or all of them, its time to take action based on what you've learned. To wrap up the series, the CRUE team will end the program by helping you develop an action plan for strengthening the role of research in your own practice or in your organization.
Elizabeth Farley-Ripple is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at the University of Delaware. She serves as the Director for the UD's Partnership for Public Education and co-leads the IES-funded Center for Research Use in Education. She is also an active member of the policy and practice communities through partnerships with the Delaware Department of Education, districts, schools and community organizations as well as coordinating and advising in the education leadership programs.
Samantha Shewchuk is a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Center for Research Use in Education at the University of Delaware. Dr. Shewchuk specializes in knowledge mobilization (KMb) efforts to address the research-policy-practice gaps across public service sectors. She is currently managing a research project which seeks to map the network of actors, relationships, and processes in the ‘third space’ between education research and practice.
Debbie Micklos works closely with the CRUE Co-Directors and researchers to support daily operations and coordinate tasks on the project. Her responsibilities include research proposal production, interfacing with schools and their educators involved in the research, coordinating dissemination strategies, and ensuring compliance with administrative policies and procedures. She also has 15 years of teaching experience.
The space below poses questions for workshop participants to consider and respond to before, during, or after a workshop. They are not part of the workshop per se, but an opportunity to think ahead and look back - continuing our learning across the series.
