"Desalination can be defined as any process that removes salts from water. Desalination processes may be used in municipal, industrial, or commercial applications. With improvements in technology, desalination processes are becoming cost-competitive with other methods of producing usable water for our growing needs." - Dr. Hari J. Krishna, PE
Background
One of the biggest challenges the human race faces is having enough water in the near future. As the population increases and more fresh water is consumed from earth's natural resources, it's clear that one day we will run out of water if we don't develop different ways to access and provide fresh water. Water desalination is proving to be one of the ways we can combat the water crisis. There is a whole lot of saltwater in the world that is waiting to be turned into fresh, drinkable water. Our team believes that water desalination is an effective way to produce freshwater, and as technologies continue to advance it will prove to be one of the major ways the world will solve the water crisis.
