Description

The Online LL.M. Program at the University of Dayton School of Law is pleased to announce its first Student Colloquium on March 22, 2022. This will be a space for law students and attorneys to explore their research interests and/or present their original work in a welcoming and engaging environment. Participants will benefit from audience feedback as well as coaching from leading scholars in the field.

  • Are you interested in innovation, law & tech, international business, and/or intellectual property?

  • Would you like to improve your English public-speaking skills and sharpen your critical thinking?

  • Are you interested in presenting your research proposal (or work-in-progress) to an international group of law students, attorneys, and legal scholars?

  • Would you benefit from peer feedback and coaching?

If the answer to any of the previous questions is YES, then please consider joining us for the Online LL.M. Student Colloquium.

Eligibility

University of Dayton law students and alumni (Online LLM & JD), advanced law students, or graduate students from the University of Dayton School of Law partner universities.

Abstract Deadline:

Interested participants should send either a paper draft (English, Spanish, or Portuguese are accepted languages) or a one-page abstract explaining the proposed research topic. Submissions should be emailed to Pablo Iannello at piannello1@udayton.edu.

Structure of the Colloquium:

The Colloquium will take place virtually on March 22, 2022. Each participant will have 10 minutes to present the main idea of their work (or work-in-progress). After that, there will be a 15 minute period for audience feedback, which will include students, lawyers, and faculty. Presenters (and their research/scholarship) can benefit from this feedback and coaching. The workshop will be online and highly interactive, so there will be a limited number of seats for each day of the Colloquium.
