To access software needed, log in at cloudlabs.ucsd.edu with your student AD account. It does require Duo for two factor authentication.
Click on the link assigned for your course, as provided by the instructor.
Choose the "Appstream SME General Desktop" after logging into CloudLabs using the instructions above.
Click "Desktop" on the next screen and in 1-2 minutes a windows desktop will appear. You can access all the software from the Windows Start Menu. Please keep in mind some software takes a while to open, like SolidWorks, so be patient. Most software runs pretty fast though once opened and ready.
To access RISA 2D and 3D specifically:
After logging into Cloudlabs and getting into Appstream SME General Desktop, launch the RISA application. When it prompts you for a username and password, enter the following:
user: ets-risa@ucsd.edu
pass: e5uVFjCb
Please do NOT share this username or password with anyone outside of the SE 103 course.
Most virtual computing environments require connection to a UCSD network.
If you are accessing this virtual environment off-campus, you need to install the VPN client and connect using the allthruucsd group.
