iPad — Screen Mirror

Zoom allows screen mirroring from an iPad or iPhone to Mac and Windows devices!

The method below connects the iPad to the computer (Mac or Windows) instead of directly to Zoom. The annotation tools on Zoom are only available with screen mirroring — not available with screen sharing from the iPad. This is a great way to let students contribute to class!

Please note this method is not supported by eduroam and will therefore not work on campus. If you are connected through eduroam, try one of the other methods described in the Tablets section.

Participants annotate in Zoom

Follow the instructions below to screen share with your iPad to allow for collaborative annotation in Zoom

In Zoom: View options > annotate

1. Select Share Screen from Zoom meeting on computer

2. Under Basic, select iPhone / iPad then Share

3. Instructions will appear to complete your setup!

You may be asked to install a plugin first time only

"plugin" doesn't mean plug it in, although that is an option!

Meanwhile, on the iPad...

1. Swipe down from top right corner

2. Select Screen Mirroring

3. Choose the device shown on your computer

Notability option

Choose to Mirror as Screen or Presentation

Touch the blue screen icon in the upper left-hand corner of any notebook in Notability
