What is NameCoach?

NameCoach is a tool that allows users to record and share the pronunciation of their name. The recorded name can be made available in a Canvas course, or added to email signatures.

What is NameCoach good for?

Nothing is more personal or important than a person’s name. Saying your students’ names correctly communicates care for their individual identities and promotes a stronger sense of belonging in your course, in your discipline, and in the university as a whole. NameCoach allows you the time and space to practice pronouncing unfamiliar names so you’re comfortable using them in conversation.
