Campus Coursera Call

UC Santa Cruz is a member of the Coursera Partner Consortium, which enables free sharing of content (Massive Open Online Courses, Guided Projects, and Specializations) among participating institutions. UCSC students, faculty, and staff can access this shared partnership content through Coursera for UCSC, UC Santa Cruz learning program on Coursera.

Outside of the Coursera for UCSC learning program, the content on Coursera is available to learners in almost every country in the world, enabling UCSC faculty who create Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for Coursera to share their knowledge, skills, and expertise far beyond our university. While Coursera MOOCs are different in nature to the courses taught at UC Santa Cruz (MOOCs are completely asynchronous and more compact than typical 5-unit academic courses), they offer a unique opportunity for faculty wishing to engage learners of highly diverse backgrounds on an ongoing basis. At UCSC, a portion of any revenue generated through Coursera MOOCs is transferred to the course creator.

If you are UCSC faculty interested in creating Coursera content, contact Online Education.
