Alexandra Herrera

My name is Alexandra Herrera, and I like to go by Alex. I am an Earth Science major with an Environmental Geology concentration, and I am excited to graduate this summer. I also earned an A.S. in Life Science and General Science at Imperial Valley College. I'm happy to be staying in Santa Cruz this summer because it has perfect weather and I love the redwoods.

I am interning with SSRF where we will be doing sustainable agriculture research. I am also interning at the Natural History Museum where we will be teaching kids about the environment.

In the future I would like to work at a Wastewater Treatment Plant, or work in Water Management. I am also interested in possibly going into education.

My goals for this summer are to gain experience in data collection and interpretation, and learn as much as I can from my mentors.
