Obviously these aren't birds, but they do fly so it didn't seem too far fetched to include them here.
The Monarch Butterflies at Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz are staging a nice comeback.
The first group below were taken October 29th, 2023.
There were a number of nice big clusters like this one.
It was also fun to see many of them flying around in the ivy climbing in the trees.
The next group of photos was taken October 31st. Happy Halloween. A very nice woman asked if I had a web site which prompted me to add this page with the butterfly photos. Thanks for the nudge Christine.
