Embracing Change, Everett in Transition

Despite the persisting challenges and obstacles heightened by the pandemic, Everett students have remained resilient and active in advocating for social justice and social change locally and globally. This website gives us a glimpse of their remarkable work in 2021.

Completing the year-long Global Information and Social Entrepreneurship Studies (GISES) of the Everett Program, 25 students successfully implemented 11 community-engaged projects delivering their tech-based solutions for social justice. Throughout SOCY 30A, 107A, 107B, and 196G courses, our students obtained not only sociological knowledge but also practical skills to harness digital tech tools and manage projects and team collaboration. Throughout the pandemic, our students indeed demonstrated how we can overcome the impossible and stay hopeful for the future.
