Internal Medicine

Internal Medicine is the specialty in the

care of adult patients. Internists see patients

in both ambulatory and inpatient settings

(as internal medicine hospitalists). Internists

have the opportunity to pursue fellowship

training in a number of subspecialties of

adult medicine.
