Family Medicine

Family Medicine is the specialty that takes

care of patients from birth to end of life and

all aspects of medical care in between,

including pediatrics, adolescent, adult

medicine, women’s health and geriatrics.

Family physicians see patients in both

ambulatory and inpatient settings (as family

medicine hospitalists). A major draw to

family medicine is building relationships

with patients over an extended period of

time.
