Week of September 15th
It was so much fun getting to meet our Kindergarten students! This introductory lesson allowed students the time to learn more about my role as a School Counselor and for me to get to know them on a deeper level. Students learned that my job is all about helping and I do all types of things around the building. We did a quick introduction into feelings followed by a coloring activity where students were tasked with identifying how they currently feel and draw that.

Week of September 22ND
For our second lesson of the school year, students got to do a deep dive into a feelings exploration! Together we read The Color Monster by Anna Llenas where students learned more about identifying emotions to help them feel more in control of their bodies. Color monster is shown what each feeling means through color and learns that it is okay to feel multiple things at once! To wrap up the lesson, students colored their personal Color Monster.
