Dear Mrs. Evans,

I am planning to conduct a reading promotion project for Kindergarten students this coming school year. It will be entitled “High Five.” We all know that most Kindergartners are fairly new to the school environment. Through this project, the children will be introduced to different reading literature using print and digital resources with the support of the school and community.  This project will also help strengthen the mission of Henry County R-1 School District stated as "In partnership with the community, we educate our youth to maximize capabilities by providing a safe and challenging environment where standards are high, learning is the priority and civic responsibilities are instilled." Children will be inspired to get hooked on books through intrinsic and extrinsic  incentives. The end goal of this project is for the students to appreciate more the value of reading/listening to books through their interaction with their peers, teachers, families and community.

This reading project will entail a minimal amount of expenses for the supplies needed. I have attached here the supplies and budget for this project.

My name is Amavi Tayaotao at Windsor Elementary School. I am writing to invite you to have a collaboration with us to support our students and families. The school library will be promoting a project called “High Five” for Kindergarten students. These students will have the opportunity to discover the world of children’s literature.Through our collaboration we will encourage the students and families to access your library for resources that they need. 

I would like to meet with you to discuss further the ways we can work together to support students and families especially for this project. Are you available on August 21, 2023? Or is there a better date and time for you? If you have any questions, or are interested in working together, please let me know. Dear Ms. Bowen,

The library will have a reading project for Kindergarten students called “High Five.” Children will be encouraged to read or listen to five books every month. I need your help in drawing/tracing the children’s handprints that we will use in recording the titles of the materials/books that they read/listen to. This project will run from September through May. So we will need a handprint for each child each month.

Would you be willing to help us out with this project? Please let me know your thoughts about this.
