Reading Promotion Project

This Reading Promotion Project will be called "High Five."  It will promote the love for reading of children's literature using print and digital resources with the support of the school and community.  This project will help strengthen the mission of Henry County R-1 School District stated as "In partnership with the community, we educate our youth to maximize capabilities by providing a safe and challenging environment where standards are high, learning is the priority and civic responsibilities is instilled." Children will be inspired to get hooked on books through intrinsic and extrinsic  incentives. The end goal of this project is for the students to appreciate more the value of reading/listening to books through their interaction with their peers, teachers, families and community.
