At this point in time, I have finished the research paper; I really only have a few more touch ups to do and stylistic changes to add in.
We've spent the entire Spring Quarter on this paper and I feel accomplished; there were a few points during the quarter where I felt like it was going nowhere, but eventually getting to the actual writing portion made me feel like I had things to say.
Getting to this point in the Research Paper makes me feel like I've learned something that is personal to me. With the paper being on a legend that has to do with where my grandparents and parents have come from, I feel mroe connected to them through this journey that I have gone through.
Overall, I feel like this quarter has been a ride between the last few lectures that we've gotten and the research that we had to do for this paper. With the talks about worldbuilding that we've done over the series of quarters, I feel like I can see it happening in my paper.
The different types of worldbuilding that are present in my paper include things like the movement of people, diaspora, and different perspectives that people may have on the same topic or object in hand.
I find that I have learned a lot of things from my time in Core:
the changes that I create in my life can also affect the world on a bigger level
connections can be made almost anywhere
play is important, but so is boredom
conflict is natural, it's how we get the most perspectives that people can have
how to be a worldbuilder
