Debutants UCC Claim First-Ever Medal at InterCol Athletics Championships 

The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) made a historic mark at the 2025 Inter-Collegiate Track & Field Championships held at G.C. Foster College in Spanish Town, Jamaica, on Thursday, April 10. In their debut appearance at the prestigious event, UCC proudly captured their first-ever InterCol medal, earning bronze in the Mixed 4x400m Relay. 

Competing against the island’s top collegiate athletes, the UCC team displayed exceptional speed, endurance, and teamwork to secure a place on the podium. The achievement marks a major milestone for the institution’s growing athletics programme and is a testament to the spirit and dedication of its student-athletes. 

The InterCol Championships, which concluded on Friday, April 11, 2025, brought together universities and colleges from across Jamaica in a celebration of athletic excellence.  

Football – Victory at Our First Home Game! 

We are proud to announce that the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean’s football team celebrated its first win on Monday, October 7, 2024, with a 2-0 victory over Shortwood Teachers' College at their first home game at Barbican Field! 

Congratulations to the team for their outstanding performance and for setting the stage for what promises to be an amazing season. Let us keep the energy high and continue to rally behind our players as they take on the competition!
