Our Mission

Professor Megan Rhee is the Integrated Design MA and MFA Program Director at the University of Baltimore. In a recent interview, I could talk about the main goals that interest the community of advertisers and communicators. The MA program of Integrated Design at UB stands out for the synergetic mastering of verbal and visual elements for effective communication, which are also at the core of the advertising aim. As professor Rhee said, the program flows around efficient communication. To this end, understanding the audience is vital to creating empathetic relationships that allow designers and advertisers to inform, identify, and persuade. Throughout an experiential learning process, students acquire those essential rhetorical elements helpful to operate in real-world agencies.

Similarly, advertising processes look at empathy and effective communication as the most critical aspects of engaging the audience. Suppose we give an advertiser's identikit. In that case, we might describe them as people who are creatively attentive to what happens around them and constantly focus on their work, ready to reinvent it each time as time changes (Rhee).
