The Anne Lambert Clothing and Textiles Collection is supported by both artifact donors and financial contributors. Donations to the Operating & Acquisition Fund allow our curatorial staff to acquire objects that would not typically be otherwise offered to the Collection.

Artifacts 2021.1.1.a, b and 2020.7.1 were recently purchased to expand the Collection's depth of commercially-printed African commemorative cloth and promote further research into such textiles.

As well, it is a common museum practice to borrow some objects for exhibitions from other institutions or private collectors. Artifact IL-2021-001 has been loaned to the Collection by an anonymous donor and textile enthusiast to complement the selection of Social Campaign textiles displayed in this exhibition.
