Grounding

Use grounding when you are feeling swept away by difficult thoughts, emotions, or memories.

Grounding is not necessarily meant to relax us (if it does - great!), but rather to bring us back into the present moment. It's important to be patient as you practice grounding -- it can take time and active practice before these skills begin to work for you.
