------------------------------------------------

The tipi was donated to the Faculty of Native Studies by Cree Language Instructor, Dorothy Thunder's mother. The canvas was painted by FNS alumni, Kristine Wray. The tipi was first put up on September 27 2013.

--------------------------------------------------

Every fall the Faculty of Native Studies takes down the canvas for the winter. They open this event to everyone to come and take part in. Tea and bannock is served and stories are shared. The same thing happens in the spring, when the canvas is put back on the tipi. The tipi poles are left up all year round.
