The Education section of the Department of Pediatrics - Finance website will provide financial information relating to resident and fellow funding, program support funding, and educator invoices.

Funding Allocation Breakdown:

Residents:

• General Pediatrics Residents: $900.00 from PGME and $350.00 from AIMG for a total of $1,250.00 per year.

• PGME (Ministry) Residents: $900.00 from PGME and $350.00 from the Department for a total of $1,250.00 per year.

• AHS Residents: $900.00 from PGME and $350.00 from the Department for a total of $1,250.00 per year.

Fellows:

• Stollery/DoP sponsored Fellows: $1,000.00 per year from Alberta Health Services.

• Bureau (Foreign) sponsored Fellows: $1,000.00 per year from the Department.

• Fellows funded by Other Sources (AHS, Medical Affairs, Neonatrix) receive $1,000 for their entire training period from Alberta Health Services.

Programs:

• Active programs (programs with 1 or more residents) receive $2,500 per year from PGME.

• Inactive programs (programs without residents) receive $1,250 per year from PGME.
