Post- conference Day:  Cultural Visit (Sat. 22, July) - Frascati (Roma)

Post-Conference Day at Frascati (Roma), in collaboration with Accademia Vivarium Novum.

Participants have the chance to spend a full day in Frascati (18 km far from Rome, 30’ by train from Termini Station), and visit the town and its charming Villa Falconieri, the current venue of Accademia Vivarium Novum (https://vivariumnovum.net/en), an international educational institution that provides top-class courses in Latin, Greek, and, more in general, Humanities.

IMPORTANT

07:45 am: Departure from the meeting point – GATE via Aurelia no. 472 (not the lobby of Casa La Salle, nor the lobby of the Generalate), since many participants stay in hotels other than Casa La Salle.

08:00 am: metro A – Cornelia onto Termini Station

08:54 am o'clock: “Castelli Romani Line” to Frascati (arrival in Frascati at 09:24 am) - Notice: please, take in account that if the 08:54' train is missed, no train is available until Noon - too late for the visit and lunch! 

A glance at Rome from the panoramic terrace; walk onto Villa Falconieri; esclusive guided tour of the Villa Falconieri (including the library, specialized in Humanities, Latin and Greek languages and culture) and lunch in its fantastic premises; walk to Frascati downtown for visits, shopping, “gelato” etc. 

Those who have flights scheduled on Saturday night or want to explore Rome in the afternoon, may want to leave earlier, right after lunch or early afternoon. 

Those who want to spend the evening there may want to try a “fraschetta”, a typical local trattoria (some suggestions will be provided to the participants). 

The online registration is mandatory by MON July 10 for organizational purposes and includes: 1-day regional pass (valid in Rome and Frascati for the whole day), exclusive guided visit of Villa Falconieri (including its library), lunch, accompanying person (tour leader) for the whole day, certificate of attendance.
