Dr. Pegg is a professor of science education. Her scholarship focuses on teacher professional learning, curriculum and the integration of science and literacy. Her work has also involved collaborative projects with international universities, education ministries, and not-for-profit organizations, including recent work in Kenya, Oman, and Rwanda.
Quinn McCashin is a Doctoral student in the Faculty of Education, University of Alberta. He previously worked as a high school science and math teacher in Edmonton, Alberta. He completed his Master of Education in the field of educational technology, exploring stealth learning through gameplay in Minecraft. His doctoral research explores the ways we can integrate computer science and computational thinking into the Alberta classroom. His research interests include computer science education and curriculum, science professional development, games in the classroom, playful learning, and educational robotics.
