The Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education (CMASTE) is a long-standing educational research and development academic centre that specializes in the synthesis of research, knowledge translation, and outreach housed within the Faculty of Education. Our membership includes educational experts, researchers, and teacher educators who work with educational stakeholders to collaborate in science, mathematics, and technology education.
Consultant Services
CMASTE provides consultative assistance for schools, school authorities, universities, government agencies, businesses, industries and not-for-profit organizations, and provides a forum for the exchange of ideas for enhancing mathematics, science, technology and interdisciplinary education. CMASTE has worked across Canada and internationally on projects in Tanzania, Oman, Rwanda, Kenya, Norway, and China. Educator Professional Development
CMASTE’s mission is to promote and encourage excellence in education by enhancing and encouraging the professional development of educators, including the asking and informing of critical, ethical and contemporary questions and the enhancement of educational opportunities that attend to concerns addressing a range of perspectives and equitable access for diverse communities.
Curriculum and Curriculum Resource Development
CMASTE has extensive experience developing curriculum and curriculum resources for K-12 STEM Education and professional development programs for educators.
