In the genesis of this project, Archive, or in our case ‘Archive as operative knowledge’ was the preliminary and appropriate title that represents a segment that gathers database for any future inquiry. An archive is, usually, an accumulation of documentations that are kept in an institutional building and materialize collective memory.  An operative knowledge trough exploration into these archives, libraries, and cultural centers is the progression when archive becomes productive. It tries to move away from the traditional reading of the archive materials as documents taken from storage, toward understanding this traces as structure for a new interpretation, of course in the same clear organization and retrieval of stored information. This is essential for a multi scale, interdisciplinary consortium that is exploring the natural and cultural environments of the city of Prilep. 

Having in mind the complexity of the information and the structure of the material that will result from them and guided by our experience in scientific research, we created a framework where each developed aspect of the operating archive will find its place.
