Grab the device from the top of the fishing line above the bobber and hold it next to the container you would like to measure liquid in. Figure out the desired liquid level. The black line on the bobber should be at that height.
Figure 14. Set Up Step 1
To adjust the device, grab the device from the bottom of the string below the stainless steel weight. Then, hold the device up so that the orange top of the bobber is pointed downward. The weight should fall down and rest just above the brown part of the bobber.
Figure 15. Set Up Step 2
Place the device down so that the weight is still on top of the brown part of the bobber.
Figure 16. Set Up Step 3
Clip the alligator clip onto a higher or lower part of the fishing line above the stainless steel weight based on if the container is taller or lower.
Figure 17. Set Up Step 4
Grab the device from the top of the fishing line above the bobber and hold it next to the container you would like to measure liquid in. If the black line on the bobber is at the desired liquid level, then you are ready to use the device. If the black line on the bobber is still not at the desired liquid level, then repeat steps 2-4 until the black line on the bobber is at the desired liquid level.
Figure 18. Set Up Step 5
Grab the device from the top of the fishing line above the bobber.
Figure 19. Instructions for Use Step 1
Place the device in a container. If there is excess fishing line, hang it on the side of the container.
Figure 20. Instructions for Use Step 2
Pour liquid into the container as close to a side of the container as possible. Keep pouring until the bobber flips upright and only the top of the bobber is visible.
