Assessment

Reflection

In this assignment, I learned how to use different types of assessment tools in a formative and summative assessments. Using goformative.com in order to collect student's feedback immediately and give student feedback will help me keep track when students complete their work and students will check their own understanding. It also cuts my grading time in half. Using Edpuzzle when I assign student videos helps me check for understanding when I assign videos. The summative portfolio will showcase what students learned on a Google Site.

The purpose of this assignment was to ensure I understand the different forms of assessment in a digital format. I was able to explore the different forms of assessments and the digital tools that support learning in the classroom. The three tools I chose helped me understand assessments in the formative and summative fashion.

Exit Ticket

Using goformative.com students will answer the Core Values Crossword puzzle. This will serve as a review and exit ticket formative assessment to review the First LEGO League Core Values discussed in class. Formative will give students automatic feedback and give the instructor immediate feedback on how students did on this formative assessment.

Mid-Term Formative Assessment

Using edpuzzle.com students will watch a FLL EV3 Lessons videos and will check for their understanding as they are watching the video. This will serve as a mid-term formative assessment to check for student's understanding on the basic concepts. Students will answer the questions and the instructor can look at the data on how the students do as they completed the videos. Students can also see their score and re-watch the video to check for understanding.

Summative Assessment using Google Sites

Using sites.google.com students will create a Google Site Summarizing their whole journey and learning from the First LEGO League course.

Students will follow the Google Site Outline bellow to attach artifacts and reflections completed throughout the course:
