We pride ourselves in understanding our wonderful canine guests needs, whether that be comforting a nervous first time guest or helping a regular guest expel energy running and playing, every guest is an individual character.
Our kennels are specially designed for freedom of movement. All guests have access to individual kennel runs, which look out over our field and to the Henllys countryside.
Our kennel block is heated with a thermostatically controlled market garden style heater, ensuring the kennel block is kept at a ambient temperature.
All canine guests are walked up to 4 times a day, depending on their energy level. They are walked individually in large fenced field, on extending leads attached to a slip lead. This is done for their safety and security. Guests are walk individually or in their family pair. We generally do not allow guests to mix with other guests, however if your canine companion is social and loves other canine interaction, our own canine companions are more than happy to go for a play date with guests.
We provide all beds, bedding, water and food bowls. We discourage guests from bringing their own bedding from home. We change bedding regularly during stays and inevitably misplace bedding and blankets in our laundry. We encourage guests to bring a favourite toy if they are allowed to be alone with toy when they are at home.
All collars and harnesses are removed during guests stay.
We require all guests to provide their usual diet eaten at home.
All dogs must be fully vaccinated and be up to date with their standard vaccinations. These must be administered 14 days prior to the first day of boarding.
If guests have lapsed their vaccinations, and are restarting their standard vaccinations, guests are not covered until 2 weeks after second dose. This is why we recommend making sure ALL vaccinations are completed a clear month before a guests first day.
All dogs must have a vaccination called kennel cough. The kennel cough vaccination is an annual vaccination. This is a live vaccine, usually a nasal spray. As it is a live vaccine we require it to be administered at least a clear 28days prior to the first day of boarding. If a guests booster runs out before or during their stay with us, the Kennel cough vaccine still needs to be administered 1 clear month or a clear 28 days prior to the first day of boarding. If the kennel cough vaccine is administered less than a clear 28 days prior to the first day of a guests stay, we will not be able to accept guests for their stay and their booking will be cancelled.
Proof of vaccination is essential, we accept a photo of their vaccination certificate or an email from you veterinarian, detailing vaccinations administered and dates.
We do not accept feeding bowls - with the exception of gulp bowls, these must be cleaned prior to their stay. Ours bowls are changed daily to meet our high standards of cleanliness.
If guests are found to have an infestation, you will be notified, and charged a £30 fumigation fee on departure.
